The 'Patras statuette' is a 2nd century CE version of the Parthenos. Height
0.86 m. Patras Museum.
- Marble statuette of Athena, roman copy of the chryselephantine (gold and ivory) statue of Athena Parthenos, work of Pheidias on the Parthenon.
- The goddess wears an attic peplos (veil) with a bodice and wrap, belted in the waist.
- The chest and shoulders are covered by the aigis (goat skin) with the gorgoneion.
- Her shield stands on her side, its outer side decorated with an Amazonomachy scene, with a Medusa's head in the middle.
- The inside of the shield bears the relief depiction of the Erichthonian snake.
