This statue of Athena is a copy of an original of about 450-30 BCE.
An unusual figure, the head with touches of the Severe, the dress so restless that the figure has been thought Hellenistic classicising made for the kings of Pergamum.
Most unusual the strip aegis worn like a crossed bandolier.
Taken by some as Myron's Athena for Samos but surely later.
