The most probable date locates a little before 480 BCE. National
Archaeological Museum, Athens.
- The sculptor of this statuette of Athena, having found the aegis difficult to sculpt, preferred to involve the half of the Goddess' chest with the himation without leaving the Goddess without her warring character giving her other such weapons as the helmet, the shield and the lance that she holds in her right hand
- The thighs are nude, and reproduced plastically, while the pleats of the dress are gathered to the center, according to the archaic convention.
- In the face, sublime, an expression of divine serenity reigns.
- The statue was created for only one angle of vision that's why the posterior part is neglected.
