  • The small Ionic temple to Athena Nike (Athena as Victory) on the bastion to the south side of the approach to the Propylaea of the Acropolis, was built in the later 420's.
  • Its external frieze has Gods at the front, battles at the back and sides.
  • The style is almost flamboyant with areas between the well-spaced figures filled with dress.
