• Top left group of the shield with Greek struck in the back, popularly called Kapaneus or Erechtheus.
• The slab was completed by an Amazon attacking, uphill.
• This bas-relief, part of the Nicholas Catsimpoolas Collection, depicts King Capaneus, one of the 'Seven Against Thebes' of Greek legend.
• It was photographed in 1950 at the Villa Albani in Rome.
