- II.1. - to have something happen to one, to be or come to be in a state or case.
- II 2.- of the influence of passion or feeling, to be affected in a certain way, be (or come to be) in a certain state of mind.
- III.1. - frequently with Advbs., kakôs paschein or pathein to be in evil plight, unlucky, Hom. Hom. Od. 16.275, Hdt. 3.146, etc. ; freq. with an Adj., kaka, aina, lugra paschô, Hom.
