At center, Hercules lifts the boar and holds it head-down over Eurystheus, who is hiding in a pithos sunk into the ground. Hercules wears a lionskin, a bow and quiver on his shoulder. Eurystheus, mostly hidden in the pithos, holds his hands in the air to ward off the boar. To the right, Athena advances towards Hercules. She wears a long chiton, the aegis bordered with snakes, a helmet, and holds a spear. On the left, Iolaos holds Hercules' club. He wears a short chiton and cuirass, with a sword at his right side.
